Step 1
Consultation
Your journey begins with a personalized consultation. This is where I learn what you want most from your time away, including your interests, preferred pace, travel style, and the experiences that would make the trip meaningful to you.
This conversation helps me understand whether you are considering a river cruise, an active and culturally immersive journey, an expedition voyage, or a custom group experience.
It is the foundation of thoughtful, personalized travel planning.
This initial consultation is complimentary.
The Exploration Next Travel Planning Process
Planning a trip should feel exciting, not overwhelming. My role is to understand what matters to you, bring the details together, and create a journey that reflects your interests, pace, and priorities.
From our first conversation through your return home, you will know what comes next and who to contact when you need help.
Step 2
Planning
Once you decide to move forward, I will send the professional planning agreement and fee details. Research and trip design begin after the agreement is signed and payment is received.
I will then present my first and best recommendation based on your interests, pace, priorities, and the amount you are comfortable investing in the trip. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and make any necessary adjustments before confirming the trip with a deposit.
Accommodations
I select hotels, resorts, lodges, villas, and the right cruise ship and stateroom to fit your comfort level, travel style, and itinerary.
Active & Cultural Experiences
From guided walks and scenic bike rides to cooking classes, wine tastings, wildlife encounters, and local guides, I build in experiences that match your interests and pace.
Transportation Coordination
I arrange and coordinate flights, transfers, rail, private drivers, and local transportation so the major pieces of your itinerary connect smoothly.
Step 3
Enjoy
This is where you get to relax, explore, and enjoy the journey. Whether you are sailing on a river cruise, experiencing local culture, or setting out on an active day, the itinerary has been designed to help you be present in the experience.
And when questions or unexpected issues arise, I remain available to help you understand the options and connect with the right travel partners.
