Adventure travel is often misunderstood

When I say “adventure travel,” what comes to mind?
Do you picture…
❌Channeling your inner Katniss as you shooting arrows at your opponents through a forest filled with death traps
❌Diving headfirst off the edge of rocky cliff straight into the ocean waves
❌Trekking through a dark and misty jungle filled with creatures you’ve only ever seen pictures of
❌Climbing to the top of a mountain where you’ll somehow end up buried beneath a pile of snow
You probably imagine your worst nightmare, right?
But adventure travel doesn’t have to feel like you’re competing for your life in the Hunger Games.
And it doesn’t even have to involve cardio or upper-body strength if you don’t want it to!
If you’re adventure-curious but are worried about taking the leap because you’re afraid of where you’ll end up (fighting off mummies that you accidentally resurrected while exploring ancient pyramids in Egypt, perhaps?)—I'm here to reassure you that you can go on an adventure and do it your way.
The reason we schedule vacations is so that we can break out of our normal routines.

Adventure travel simply means experiencing something you don’t do in your day to day life.
What’s an adventure to you?
Maybe it looks like…
🔸Taking a cooking class
🔸Going on a hike
🔸Trying a new food
🔸Taking a city walking tour
🔸Trying a salsa class
🔸Getting lost in a new city (on purpose!)
So the next time you’re thinking about adventure, remember that it doesn’t have to look like your dad’s favorite action movie.
There are plenty of adventures already waiting for you when you plan your next trip with an open mind, curiosity, and a willingness to try new things (within your comfort zone, of course!)
Working with a knowledgeable travel advisor who will listen to your interests, needs, and goals is the key to booking a great adventure-filled trip that you’ll feel safe going on.
